We're trying hard to get Tommy's eyes to align on their own. We've been holding things in front of him to focus on. He seems to notice them. I guess if he grows up to need glasses, we can totally blame his dad.
Late in the evening, we're trying to hold Tommy off on any "extra" feedings in hopes that he'll go to sleep and stay that way all night. We've had a few successes but overall it's pretty clear he didn't get the memo from his older siblings on what his sleep pattern ought to be!
To avoid developing a bad case of torticollis, we're encouraging Tommy to look more to his left as he has a strong tendency to look to his right, both when he's awake and when he's asleep.
Tommy appears to be a Fatty McFatterson here. And if you picked him up, you'd believe it. Like his mommy says, she feeds him eight times a day! In any event, it reminded us of this scene:
Michelle: "Want one?"
Tommy: "I'd better not. I have what doctors call a little bit of a weight problem. I used to grab bear claws as a kid, two at a time, and I'd get them lodged right in this region here."
Now that Angie's back to work, Tommy gets to hang out with Grandma Shepherd during the day while the other kids are at daycare. She hates it, let me tell you!
Tommy and the gang are hangin' with Gramma Karena, Grampy Keith and Nan and Pop tonight while Mommy and Daddy celebrate their five-year anniversary a week early. Hey, everyone has three kids in five years, right?!!
Maddie and Nate taught their little brother how to jump on the bed tonight. Then, they wanted to pretend that they were going to sleep in mommy and daddy's bed. Silly monkeys!
Tommy draws an audience as he checks out his new Pack-n-Play. Nan found this practically new item at a garage sale for fifteen bucks and we love it! It's nice for Tommy to have a place to sleep in the living room where he's out of the reach of other curious toddlers.
Gramma Karen stopped by today while on the west side. She's got five grandkids under the age of three but from the look on her face, Tommy could be the only one. She's smitten for all of them, though. (And Taylor and Savannah, too!)
Angie brought Tommy by KU today on her way to a doctor's appointment and he cracked a little smile. A couple of colleagues got to witness it and thought it was the cutest thing they'd ever seen. And it was!
