03.27.12 - "Still got some blogging to do"

Tommy got his first wagon ride tonight. We were about three houses down the block when Angie asked if I had my camera. I didn't but ran back to the house to get it. After snapping a couple of photos, I recalled yesterday's photo of Tommy sitting at the table. Two firsts in two days. Angie was quick to point out, "you've still got some blogging to do."

03.06.12 - Wake up, Maddie!

Upon Maddie's insistence that she just needed to "take a little rest" before getting out of bed this morning, Tommy and Nate went in her room to encourage her to get up.

This is what it would look like if we had six kids. Don't worry, we're not.

02.24.12 - "Tommy, put some pants on!"

Nate likes to say, "Put some pants on!" if he sees one of us wearing shorts or one of his siblings sans pants, which makes this headline completely appropriate for this photo. Tommy is in the stage where he hates having his diaper changed and can wriggle his way away from one of us without much effort. He's also a very fast crawler so that means he can get quite away away from us in no time. Of course, he's the third kid, so we'll take the time to take a few photos instead of panicking that he might do a job on the floor.

02.23.12 - Where's your head?

No, Tommy! Where's your head, not Mommy's head!

02.06.12 - Bottoms up

Soon, Tommy will transition to a sippy cup, too, and then what will we do with that cabinet full of bottles?

01.14.12 - You gonna eat that?

Maddie and Nate made sure Tommy didn't go without at snack time today. Trust us when we say Tommy doesn't go without!

01.13.12 - Fightin' over Grandma

Grandma Shepherd came over tonight to put the kids to bed so that Mommy and I could have a date night (grocery shopping) and they immediately flocked to her. Of course, Tommy got her full attention while the other two climbed over each other to get to her.

12.18.11 - Won't you just leave me along while I eat?

Just like yesterday, Tommy had company while eating. This time it was Nate, who likes to climb on the high chair while Tommy is eating.

12.03.11 - Books galore

I'm not terribly proud of this image and I'm sure Tommy won't like it later in life, either. But, we made another haul at the library today and as soon as we got home everyone sat down to start reading.

12.01.11 - Learning to play kitchen

After a rough day of not getting along so well, Angie was quite relieved when Tommy, Maddie and Nate sat down to play kitchen together, giving her a good 30 minutes to prepare dinner.

11.27.11 - Doesn't smell like mud

In nearly three years of raising babies, we've seen a lot of poop. But never as much at 4:30 in the morning as we did at 4:30 this morning! After we got him cleaned up, we put him in with Nate while we cleaned up his crib. I think the conversation went something like this:

Tommy: Man, did I got douched with mud!
Brother: Hey, chucko, that doesn't smell like mud!
Tommy (singing): I'm a maniac, maniac on the floor! And I'm dancin' like I've never danced before!

See the clip by clicking here. Skip ahead to the 1:33 mark.
