03.18.12 - First birthday gift

Tommy opened his first birthday gift today: a zoo magnet set from Uncle Brian and Aunt Emily. He wasn't quite sure what to do so Maddie and Harley showed him.

12.22.11 - Uncle Brian

Tommy shared a good laugh with Uncle Brian after dinner tonight. We always have a good time when we hang out with our friends in Manhattan!

12.04.11 - First Christmas

Tommy is determined not to let a little tissue paper stand in the way of him and his very first Christmas present - a set of bath toys from Uncle Brian, Aunt Emily, Cayden and Carter! We have an annual holiday get-together with our good friends from Manhattan in early December. We hosted this year after going to Manhattan the past two years.

10.02.11 - We need one of these chairs

Uncle Brian has this pimp recliner-rocker in his living room. As you can tell, it works wonders! We need one - STAT!

10.01.11 - "You could put six packs of be - soda in here."

Another weekend in Manhattan, this time to celebrate Emily's birthday at her surprise party after the K-State game. Although the plan included a ladies' night out in Aggieville, Angie just couldn't wait that long. Tommy liked gnawing on the can.

(Don't worry, grandparents and random LEOs: No babies were hurt and no alcohol was consumed in the making of this photograph.)

08.28.11 - Sleepin' in

Everyone woke up super early today. And why not? Their moms and dads only sat up until midnight shooting the breeze. The good thing about being a baby, though, is that you can go back to sleep whenever you want.

08.27.11 - Carter

Carter gives Tommy the nickel tour of his living room upon our arrival in Manhattan. Trouble is, Tommy can't crawl yet!

06.19.11 - A special Father's day

Tommy was baptized during Mass this morning. The timing wasn't perfect, given that we didn't get back home from Mac's wedding in Erie until nearly 2 a.m. But, with it being Father Mike's last Mass at St. Vincent and my crazy busy spring wedding schedule, it was our only opportunity. A special thanks goes out all the family who rushed back for the event, to Brent and Emily for agreeing to be godparents, to Tori for snapping a few photos (including the one above) and to Father Mike for being so warm and accepting. He officiated our wedding, baptized our children and, ultimately, pulled me a little closer to the Catholic faith, which has been a long process. There really are no words to express our gratitude. He spent 24 years as pastor of St. Vincent, a tenure almost unprecedented, but we only knew him for a few. We're going to miss him.
